Esperemos que este nuevo año sea el inicio de una recuperación mundial. Demasiado sufrimiento, muertes, guerras y enfermedades.

RAVPower RP-PC014 10W Wireless Charger

Recientemente compré el cargador inalámbrico RAVPower RP-PC014. Un cargador inalámbrico de 10w (Fast Charge) con el que pretendía cargar mi teléfono todas las noches. Eso de intentar coger el teléfono móvil en medio de la noche a oscuras y medio dormido era un juego peligroso en donde el riesgo de dejar caer el aparato al suelo era muy grande. Cargar el móvil por cable está muy bien pero por las noches representa jugar con la suerte. Tras la llegada de paquete desde Amazon y luego de comprobar que por lo menos encendía me dediqué a ver como funcionaba y de qué manera debía colocarlo sobre mi mesilla de noche. Ya durante la noche noté dos cosas inquietantes, una es que la luz que muestra si está funcionando o no y que en principio parece tenue, durante la noche no lo es para nada. Es una luz que si bien es cierto no es destellante si que es molesta. Lo segundo que noté con cierta preocupación es que cuando conectaba un cargador Quick Charge 3 a la base de carga y posaba el teléfono sobre él se lograba escuchar una especie de traqueteo eléctrico o mejor dicho una especie de "coil whine" pero sin llegar a ser tan agudo. Aún así el teléfono indicaba que se estaba con carga rápida. Pero pasadas unas horas mi teléfono ardía y despues de unos minutos empecé a escuchar unos pitidos de alarma no sé si del teléfono o de la base y la luz que generalmente era verde pasó a ser roja. Inmediatamente levanté el teléfono de la base y procedí a quitarle la funda de protección contra caídas para acelerar el enfriamiento del mismo. Han pasado unos días desde ese evento y afortunadamente mi teléfono parece estar bien, pero me vinieron a la mente muchas cosas que leí hace tiempo sobre experiencias de personas que tuvieron con sobrecalentamientos de sus terminales y que se apagaron para nunca volver a encender.

Tras lo sucedido me dispuse a abrir el cargador inalámbrico primero para saber si había algo chamuscado o con aparentes síntomas de sobrecalentamiento. Afortunadamente no ví nada obviamente fuera de lo normal. Todo esto me llevó a pensar que el tema de la carga inalámbrica aún le queda un poco por evolucionar. Por ahora es una alternativa a la carga tradicional por cable. Un alternativa con algunas asperezas por limar y que todo apunta a que en el futuro será la norma o mejor dicho el mínimo aceptable para los accesorios de los móviles.

Pero volviendo al tema del cargador RAVPower, hice algunas fotos del interior del cargador para todos aquellos como yo que sienten curiosidad por saber que tiene dentro un cargador como este. Abrir el dispositivo requirió levantar la goma de la base que lo ayuda a mantenerse fijado a la superficie en donde se utilizará. En resumen, abrir el cargador deja huellas que claramente pueden invalidar la garantía del producto. Usad mis imágenes para no tener que abrir vuestros cargadores y así conservar la garantía.  d--(^_^)z
